A technical conference on privacy and financial technology — running inside Kinoteka on the same days as BFF. One trip, two cultures.
Schedule: MoneroKon Fri–Sun 10:00–17:00. BFF in afternoons + the Thursday opening social. After-parties and socials shared.
BFF stays a Bitcoin-only event — the co-location is about overlapping audiences, not blended branding.

Hands-on tracks across the festival: the AI Film Jam — intro to AI filmmaking (Fri) and generating scenes & sounds with ElevenLabs (Sat) — plus Lightning Piggy (Sat), building open-source Bitcoin piggy banks that accept sats over Lightning. All workshops happen in the Kinoteka café.

An after-party every night, something to wake up to every morning.
Thursday — Free the Money beforeparty at Samocentrum. Live music, DJs, Bitcoin payments and barbecue in a central outdoor bar, with RENIK — BFF's in-house DJ — on the decks. A relaxed warm-up before the festival begins.
Friday — Vistula River disco — ⚠️ venue changed: now at BarBazaar, ul. Ząbkowska 12 (not Cud nad Wisłą). Courtyard party in Praga — dance floor, bars, food and night energy.
Saturday — Palace Bass Journey at Bar Studio. Deep sounds inside the thick walls of the Palace of Culture, with award-winning Lazy1 on the decks.
Sunday — Goodbye @ Amondo. The slow goodbye.
Plus morning walks, runs and yoga. More land closer to the date.

Continues the weekly Warsaw Bitcoin Walk tradition (5–30 people every week). The Sunday route: Old Town → Fountain Park → Vistula boulevards → BUW rooftop garden → up Oboźna to Świętokrzyska, heading to the Palace of Culture for the 12:15 Tower tour branch-off (meeting at the stairs) and the 12:30 Entrepreneurs lunch at Słoik. Best Movie & Audience Choice
Bitcoin Castle (Bitcoin Schloss) — a German comedy by Bruno Schiebel. Rejected at other festivals, it drew the strongest reaction of the weekend; the director drove in by campervan, with his golden retriever along for the ride.
Best Short
MaxisClub — an animated cartoon deeply embedded in the Bitcoin ecosystem, by Redy.
Winners receive a statuette, the prestige, and a special BFF merch bag.
🤖 AI Contest — "Future of Money, Money of the Future"
First prize · 1.5M sats
Awarded by audience vote to Naritamoto, a filmmaker from the UK who has been experimenting with AI video since the very beginning. The rest of the 2.5M-sat pool rolls over to BFF’27, betting on a bigger AI field next year.

Sixteen finished films screened, with works-in-progress shown alongside. Bitcoin Castle drew the biggest laughs of the weekend — its first-ever festival screening, after being turned away elsewhere. Self Custody had its European premiere, with a video message from Garrett Patten. Hummingbird — The Bitcoin Jungle Story (director: HODL) premiered with Paul Keating travelling all the way from Costa Rica to introduce it.

- The Day-0 beforeparty at Samocentrum, and an afterparty jam that ran till 4 a.m.
- The privacy-mask group photo — everyone in their BFF buffs.

🌍 Faces of BFF’26
Guests came from 15+ countries — among them Setu (Bitshala, Goa), Jimmy & Phi (Bitcoin Chiang Mai), Ox Power (filmmaker, Australia), Paul Keating (Bitcoin Jungle, Costa Rica), Bruno Schiebel (Germany) and many more, with five travelling from India alone. On the art stands: Jeffrey Peel with his book South of Market, AgiChoote (Austria), Shadrah (UK) and 5Ksana — posters, keychains, T-shirts, socks, 3D-printed gadgets and watercolour portraits. A 15-strong volunteer crew, mostly returning, kept it all running.
Two newcomers from Poland, Patrick & Monika, wandered in almost by accident and stayed the whole festival: "We thought Bitcoin was boring and difficult. Now we're curious — it might be one of the most interesting phenomena we've witnessed." That's the whole point.

Bitcoin FilmFest (BFF) is the largest film festival dedicated to Bitcoin culture. Founded in Warsaw in November 2022, it's a grassroots, community-driven gathering that brings filmmakers, artists, technologists and curious newcomers together around stories of money, freedom and the future. BFF’26 is the fourth edition.
BFF is not a conference with films bolted on — it's a cultural event built around cinema. The program spans feature documentaries, dramas, comedies, shorts and AI-assisted films, alongside workshops, panels, a Community Stage shared with MoneroKon, an AI short-film contest with a 2.5M-sat prize pool, art exhibitions, and daily social events. The festival's own awards, the Golden Rabbits, are presented at a closing gala.
