New film announcement by Alex Waltz: Satoshis Don’t Exist — the movie will delve into the unconventional and less-known design decisions behind Bitcoin and their impact on the construction of projects built on it.
Coming soon: Dirty Coin: The Controversy Behind Bitcoin Mining — the film about Bitcoin mining is coming out in late 2023/early 2024.

Lekker Feeling: A Bitcoin Ekasi Story documentary released on YouTube — the movie takes you to Mossel Bay, South Africa, where a group called Bitcoin Ekasi has partnered with a local surfing group to create new opportunities with Bitcoin.
Searching For Satoshi to be released October 29 on CBC — a new feature documentary by Paul Kemp investigates the disappearance of Satoshi Nakamoto.
Bitcoin in Mexico is a documentary series aiming to educate different audiences by showing how Bitcoin changes and improves their lives. Chris, the director, sent us behind-the-scenes footage from Merida, where he is shooting the next episode.

🥳 Bitcoin FilmFest 2024… WHEN?

We’re elated to announce the dates for the next Bitcoin FilmFest! Join us in Warsaw from April 19th to 21st, 2024, for a celebration of Bitcoin and film at BFF’24. We also expect block #840,000 to be mined around that time… so get ready for the European Halving Party!

But we don’t have to wait that long to meet you — the BFF team and films will be present at Adopting Bitcoin in Salvador, Plan B Lugano, and a few more events. Stay tuned!

🎥 Bitcoin FilmClub #2 starts… TOMORROW!

We’re trying out our own podcast/TV show/streamed videocall of Bitcoin filmmakers — episode #2 already! Bitcoin FilmClub is a live video show from behind the screen of Bitcoin Cinema. This time, we met with three filmmakers, each at a different stage of production: Alex Waltz with Satoshis Don’t Exist, Rob Johnson with Bitcoiners, and Pierre Corbin with The Fight for U.S. Dollar.
